Fujifilm's X series started with the FinePix X100, shown at Photokina in September 2010, which paired an APS-C sensor and a fixed 23 mm f/2 lens with a hybrid optical and electronic finder. The X-Pro1 followed in January 2012 and introduced the X-mount, which every interchangeable X body since has used, from the rangefinder-style X-Pro and X-E models to the SLR-styled X-T line. Most of these cameras use Fujifilm's own X-Trans sensors and offer film simulation modes, the in-camera color looks many owners shoot straight to JPEG with. Demand is still strong. The X100VI sold so well in 2024 that it outran production, and in 2025 Fujifilm began making X100VIs in Japan for the US market.
